The Temporary Resourcing Unit comprises of the Temporary Staffing Bank (TSB) and Casual Claims teams using the eClaims timesheet system for the claiming of hours worked.

Temporary Resourcing Team Leader (Casual Claims and Temporary Staff Bank)

As the Functional Lead on the Temporary Resourcing Project I work with all the Colleges and Services with regard to Temporary Resourcing, reviewing and implementing changes to all the relevant processes and systems. I also cover the Temporary Resourcing Team Leader role when required acting as a point of contact for the Casual Claims, Temporary Staff Bank, eClaims, right to work, casual worker DBS, reporting and claims payroll queries.

I joined the University in June 2015, initially as the Temporary Staffing Transformation Manager, briefly covering a vacant Recruitment lead role and as the Temporary Resourcing Team Leader covering maternity leave.

Prior to joining the University I was a Director of a Recruitment company, worked in Business engagement, Recruitment, Systems and Finance in both the Private and Public sectors.

I am always looking at ways to streamline and continuously improve our temporary resourcing systems and processes and would welcome any feedback on where improvements could be made.

Temporary Resourcing Administrator - Business School

Tues, Wed, Thurs

I work closely with the Business School providing administrative support in the engagement of non-administrative Casual Workers. These off payroll workers may be students, casual employees, self-employed suppliers or Foreign Academic Visitors.

I also provide general E-Claims support, deal with Right to Work, IR35 queries and assist with DBS.

I joined the University in January 2014, initially as an Administrator for the Researcher Development Team and the Athletics Union, progressing to the Temporary Resourcing Team in August 2015.

Prior to joining the University I was a Revenue Officer for HMRC for over 20 years and have extensive experience in PAYE, Self-Assessment, VAT, Corporation Tax, Residency and Debt Management.

I graduated from the University of Reading with a BA (Hons) in Sociology.

Jasmine Stevenson

Temporary Resourcing Administrator - Temporary Staff Bank

I lead on all recruitment activity for the Temporary Staff Bank which includes managing the full recruitment process of our temporary workers; shortlisting, interviewing, allocating to temporary roles and monitoring assignments. I work alongside the lovely Rhea Beal and together we strive to ensure our temporary workers are assigned to the most suitable roles for them at the University.

I joined People Services as a Temporary Administrator for the TSB back in October 2017 before being appointed in a fixed term appointment shortly after. My background has always been within the Customer Service sector and prior to joining the University I spent a large amount of time as a Quality Analyst; providing accurate and actionable feedback to help clients deliver exceptional customer service.

Rhea Beal

Temporary Resourcing Assistant Administrator - Temporary Staff Bank

My role involves working closely alongside the lovely Jasmine Stevenson in running the Temporary Staff Bank by providing administrative support in the recruitment and engagement of temporary workers. As well as this, I handle queries relating to the Temporary Staff Bank from recruitment to references to pay.

I joined the University of Exeter in 2018, initially as a member of the Temporary Staff Bank, and prior to joining the University I worked at Devon County Council within the School Admissions Team after completing a BA (Hons) in History and English Literature.

Jasmine and I are dedicated to ensuring that all temporary and casual workers have a positive experience here at the University of Exeter. Murray Szymanski

Temporary Resourcing Administrator - Claims Payroll

My role is as first point of contact for claims payroll queries, as well as handling queries relating to the NEST Pension scheme, eClaims, casual claims and right to work.

I joined the University in June 2018, initially as a member of the Temporary Staff Bank working within SID and the Immigration Compliance team, before transitioning to my current role in December 2018.

Prior to joining the university I graduated from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh with a BA in Management & Business Law before moving into a career in property.

Temporary Resourcing Team Leader (Casual Claims and Temporary Staff Bank)

I manage the Temporary Resourcing Unit Monday – Wednesday, ensuring our Temporary Resourcing Processes are maintained in line with University policies and external regulations. I act as a point of contact for eClaims, casual claims, temporary staff bank, right to work, casual worker DBS and claims payroll queries. I am also responsible for the line management of the Temporary Resourcing Team.

I joined the University in March 2014 in the role of Temporary Staff Bank Assistant, and moved to my current role in March 2015.

I graduated from the University of Exeter with a BSc in Exercise and Sport Sciences in 2009, and again in 2010 with an MSc in International Management. Prior to joining the University I worked in Recruitment based roles for both public and private organisations.
