Redeployment

Members of staff employed on fixed term contracts will be eligible for consideration for redeployment under the University’s Redeployment Procedure.

An employee is defined as being ‘at risk’ when they receive a notification of a meeting under section 3.1 of the Procedure. The letter inviting them to attend this meeting should advise them of this fact and draw their attention to the Redeployment Procedure.

Following the conclusion of the meeting under section 3.1 of the Procedure, if the employment is to be terminated on the expiry date of the current fixed term contract, the notification letter should remind the employee that they are ‘at risk’ and covered by the Redeployment Procedure until their employment with the University ends.
