Visit the FAQ pages for more information about employment through the Temporary Staff Bank

How to apply

To apply to the Temporary Staff Bank or to register to undertake work as a Casual Claimant you will need to complete the relevant online registration form.

Temporary Staff Bank

The Temporary Staff Bank provides administrative workers to University departments on a temporary basis. Application to the TSB includes an application, short listing and interview process after which, if you are successful, you will be placed on the Bank and advised as and when suitable work becomes available.

To apply to the Temporary Staff Bank please download the attached Person specification which highlights the essential and desirable qualities that are required to be considered to join the Bank.

Please apply via the Registration Form here.

Please note that the University normally contacts referees without further advice to applicants. From time to time we do experience high volumes of applications and this may result in a delay in processing your application. We aim to get back to applicants within 2 weeks.

Casual Claims

Casual Claims is applicable to non-University staff undertaking casual work at the University on a short term basis. As a casual claimant you will have been approached by an employee at the University and will need to register online before you start the work. You are also required to bring evidence of your Right to Work in the UK to Employee Services (3rd Floor, Northcote House) before your work commences.

Please complete the Casual Claims Registration form here.

Please have your line manager’s information ready to include on the registration form. We would like to know their full name, job title at the University and contact details (phone number and/or email address)

If you have previously worked at the University of Exeter and left as part of the Voluntary Release Scheme you will not be eligible for Claims or TSB registration. If this is the case, or you are unsure, you should contact HR Services before undertaking any work.
