Union consultation

New arrangements for consultation and negotiation were introduced at the beginning of the 2003/4 academic year and amended in May 2008.

The Joint Negotiating Committee is re convened on an ad hoc basis to agree revisions to terms and conditions of appointment and staff are notified of these changes directly. See the terms of reference of the Joint Negotiating Committee.

In addition, there is a standing Staff Liaison Committee. The terms of reference of the Staff Liaison Committee were amended in 2007/8.
