About this course:

This course is designed for those who regularly use or manage bottled gases.

Run by an external trainer this course will enable participants to use and manage bottled gases safely including practical instruction, manual handling, risk assessment and theoretical background.

Learning outcomes:

As a result of attending this course, you will be able to:.

- Evaluate the hazards and risks associated with laboratory gases.

- Handle bottled gases and associated fixtures safely.

- Manage bottled gas facilities in a safe manner.

Who should attend this course:

.

Those who use bottled gases or manage bottled gas facilities such as academics, members of technical services and research officers.

This course is not required for all users of gas cylinders.

Local training lead by someone who has attended this course and is familiar with the equipment being used should be arranged locally.
