Description | Theme: Impact in UKRI and Contract Research applications Category: Career Development About this course: Due to changes to the impact environment, this training session is in the process of being re-written and will be delivered in Term 2. For any impact-related support please discuss with your Research Development Manager or Impact Partnership Manager. Impact in UKRI and Contract Research applications: Impact is central to UK Research Council (UKRI) grants, and externally funded Contract Research. Recent changes to UKRI application processes i.e. the removal of Pathways to Impact, necessitate new means of articulating impact throughout bid development. During this session, you will learn how to embed impact activities and the resources you require within your UKRI and contract research applications.
Learning outcomes: As a result of attending this course, you will be able to: - 1 Understand how to demonstrate, plan and budget for delivery of impact in UKRI and contract research applications. - 2 Understand the policy landscape around research impact, from a UKRI perspective. - 3 Be confident in your ability to plan and describe impact. - 4 Know where to access resources and support when writing about impact in your UKRI or contract research application. - 5 Present a clearly articulated impact narrative and delivery plan in UKRI or contract research applications.
Who should attend this course: All Academic Staff who want to generate new funding and research opportunities via UKRI grant applications.
