Using Liquid Nitrogen Safely
Description | Theme: Personal Effectiveness Category: Health, Safety and Environment About this course: . This course is designed for those who regularly use or manage cryogens. Run by an external trainer this course will enable participants to use and manage cryogens safely including practical instruction, manual handling, risk assessment and theoretical background.
Learning outcomes: . As a result of attending this course, you will be able to:. - Evaluate the hazards and risks associated with cryogens. - Safely handle cryogens. - Manage cryogen facilities in a safe manner.
Who should attend this course: . Those who use cryogens or manage cryogen facilities such as academics, members of technical services and research officers. This course is not required for all users of liquid nitrogen. Local training lead by someone who has attended this course and is familiar with the equipment being used should be arranged locally.
