The College wishes to recruit a Research Administrator to support the Centre for Biomedical Modelling and Analysis and the Centre for Predictive Modelling in Healthcare. This part-time post (up to 70% of full-time) is available from 01 January 2017, initially for a 52 month period.

 

The role will provide administrative support to the Directors and Centre Managers of these research centres, as well as the wider team. It will involve working with a network of multidisciplinary researchers and academics, as well as internal University departments and research funding bodies.

 

The Research Administrator will be responsible for the provision of effective and efficient day-to-day administration associated with the two research centres. This will include activities such as: diary management, event organisation, minute taking, travel and accommodation bookings and website management. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills, be highly motivated, and have excellent time management skills. Strong communication skills are required, as well as the ability to work with people of all levels.

 

In line with the University's flexible working policy the post is offered on a flexible basis, and hours of work can be arranged around the successful candidate, by agreement. The role will be physically based at the University's Streatham Campus, in the brand new 52.5 million pound Living Systems Institute.

The above full-time post is available from 1st December 2016 on a permanent basis in the College of Engineering, Mathematics & Physical Sciences.

 

The primary role of this post is to provide clerical and administrative support to the Heads of Discipline. As a member of the College's Executive Support team, you will also work closely with the other administrators and PAs in the College, supporting team activities and providing cover as necessary.

 

A proactive and flexible approach and being able to adapt to changing priorities will be essential.

 

This is a varied, interesting and challenging role and as such we need someone with excellent IT and organisation skills who is a good communicator and who has experience of being an effective member of a very busy team. Attention to detail, accuracy and a high standard in both written and oral communications are all essential requirements for the role, as is the ability to demonstrate total confidentiality.

This part-time (60% fte) post is available from 2nd January 2017 on a permanent basis on the St Luke's campus.

 

The post supports Professor Willie Hamilton, and his team in their diagnostic work. In particular, it includes diary management, finance, booking and coordinating travel arrangements, corresponding with colleagues both internal and external to the University, management of holiday and sickness within the team, and communications support for hearing impaired colleagues (such as participating in teleconferencing ). Experience of working in the university/research sector is particularly helpful.
