Support during sickness absence and on return to work
In accordance with the University's Managing Absence Code of Practice, the Occupational Health Service is notified of any sickness absence over one month (or earlier if appropriate).
If a member of staff requires any advice or support in connection with their sickness absence, they can call the Occupational Health Service direct.
if it would be helpful to discuss a return to work following a period of sickness absence, an appointment can be made to see one of the Occupational Health Advisors. This may be helpful to both the individual and their College/Service, particularly if any adaptions are required to enable the return to work to be successful and safe.
