About the Staff Association

The University of Exeter Staff Association has been formed by University staff, for staff. The Association Social Committee, a group of staff from across the University, was founded in January 2011 as an organisation to bring staff from across campuses together in a social setting in an environment where everyone is on a level playing field. At the same time, Human Resources were committed to the formation of a Staff Association as it forms an integral part of the Human Resources Strategy. Both Human Resources and the Social Committee are now working together to form one University of Exeter Staff Association.

We believe that working at the University should be a rewarding staff experience and the Association is hoping to encourage social integration and become synonymous with enhanced wellbeing through offering clubs, discounts and benefits as well as more general information. The Association offers a chance for members to meet people with shared interests, to meet people from other teams - there are over 3,000 members of staff here, how many do you know?

The Staff Association launched in September 2011. At the moment the Committee is made up of staff based at the Streatham Campus, but we are keen to have representatives from St Luke's, Tremough and the University of Exeter Medical School. We also want to promote events and groups at all campuses, so please keep us informed of what is going on.
