Located in the historic Cathedral Yard in Exeter, Côte Brasserie is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Inspired by new trends in Paris where diners are turning away from over complicated expensive French food, Côte offers a modern approach to classic French dishes such as steak frites, tuna niçoise, moules marinières and corn fed chicken from the heart of rural Brittany. The extensive wine list displays an indepth knowledge and features wines from a variety of producers across France; yet is reasonably priced.
The menu evolves seasonally and a range of changing specials will ensure there is always something new for regular guests to enjoy. Perfect for a breakfast meeting or mid morning coffee to take a break from shopping, Côte offers breakfast dishes such as scrambled eggs with Scottish smoked salmon; eggs Benedict with homemade
Hollandaise or a full English breakfast.
There is a weekday lunch and early evening menu at £9.95 for two courses and £11.90 for three courses with dishes such as baby gem salad with bacon lardons, free range egg, walnuts and tomatoes followed by roast seabass fillet and braised fennel with a champagne and chive beurre blanc and tomato concasse.
Reviewed favourably among the press and regular guests alike, Côte is backed by restaurant entrepreneur Richard Caring, who owns some of the UK’s most highly acclaimed restaurants such as The Ivy, J Sheekys, Le Caprice in London and Wentworth Golf Course. Côte is dedicated to serving authentic dishes, using high quality artisan produce at great prices. The atmosphere is informal and friendly and there is free wifi available.
