Formerly known as Coolings, a popular wine and cocktail bar in Exeter for the last thirty years, Hatts has been stunningly refurbished complete with a brand new menu, complemented by an excellent wine list, real ales and its renowned cocktails.

The menu offers a wide choice of home made and freshly prepared dishes, all locally sourced including steaks, pizzas, freshly prepared salads, burgers (including the ultimate ‘Top Hatt’ burger), daily specials with plenty of vegetarian options as well. There is also an additional simple lunchtime menu of jackets, sandwiches, wraps, ciabatta and baguettes all filled with a wide variety of mouth watering home made fillings. Hot drinks and a good selection of cakes are also available.

During the evening the offering changes towards drinks. The underground arabesque Cellar bar, famous for its cocktails, is open Wednesdays to Saturdays, with a great 2 for 1 offer on cocktails on Wednesdays. On the other nights it can be booked out, the perfect venue with its originality and intimacy, for a private party or works function, with a choice of buffet to suit.

On Thursday nights there is live music, usually in the main bar, from 9.00pm onwards featuring the best local bands and artists.
