Special interest groups

The Staff Association supports and organises a number of activities, special interest groups and events. The list of suggested activities which you have given us is long and varied, reflecting the diverse staff population, and includes such things as dragon boat racing, music making, choirs, allotment sharing, theatre and concerts, art and photography workshops, walking groups, knitting circles...

As the Staff Association is new we are hoping that individuals will suggest their own activities and be enthusiastic enough to set up small special interest groups. Members of the Social Committee will be available to assist you with setting up advice and support.  We would like to be able to see groups being formed across all the University campuses. The Association is for you - so ultimately you as staff will decide what should be included.

In due course, information will be published advising on how groups can apply for funding grants for things such as transport costs, materials and resources and publicity.
