Staff Festival 2018

Staff Festival 2018

We’re delighted to announce that the Staff Festival website is now LIVE!  Visit the website to browse the many activities and events planned for the day, and book onto the ones that interest you. This year, we’re really encouraging everybody to get involved in the Staff Festival - so make sure to try something different!

This year’s festival focuses on:

  • Improving awareness of health and wellbeing opportunities at work.
  • Showcasing academic research in wellbeing topics.
  • To act as a staff reward following another academic year.
  • Building community, promoting our networks, team events and challenge.

We are delighted this year to welcome our Academics to deliver seminars and workshops including: Professor Wendy Robinson, Dr. Eilis Hannon, Dr. Caitlin Kight, Dr. Inmaculada Adarves-Yorno and Dr. Barney Dunn.

All activities are free, and there’s a range to suit everybody, so do take the time to have a look...

We have some exciting treats from Mary's Meals FXU, Fresh Ideas and many more! Find out more below...

We would like all staff attending to put a thank you on our tree to recognise the efforts of their peers and staff throughout the year. Every thank you that you make will be shared with VCEG.

The Eat & Shop Team will be out and about at the Staff Festival this year with plenty of great tasters and offers.

  • Tuck into a cupcake to support Mary’s Meals, a charity who aim to provide one good meal to some of the world’s poorest children every school day.
  • Enjoy samples from some of our suppliers, including Bewley’s Coffee and delicious cakes from Cobbs Bakery.
  • Pick up a pre-loaded Eat & Shop coffee loyalty card, entitling you to a free drink when you buy just one in any Eat & Shop outlet. Not only that, but hand in your card when you collect your free drink to be entered into our competition to win 1 of 5 Champagne Afternoon Teas or hot breakfasts at Reed Hall.
  • Guess how many coffee beans are in our giant jar and you could win yourself 5 free lunches in the Terrace Restaurant.
  • If you’re a Fresh Ideas customer, the team will be on hand to chat about any ideas of feedback for their menus or service.
