The contacts, knowledge and skills developed during this programme  - and as a member of the Strategy and Security Institute network - will prove invaluable to anyone who wishes to pursue a career in politics, government service, the military, the diplomatic and intelligence communities, NGOs, the media, private security and risk analysis sectors and indeed any other environment where strategic thinking and decision making is required.

We place a strong emphasis on employability and will provide valuable opportunities to apply knowledge and expertise developed during the programme to real world situations. Indeed, the educational process doesn’t end once you finish your studies. The aim is to foster life-long networks of learning and shared experience among our cohorts via their continuing affiliation with the Institute.

Employability support

A strong portfolio of accessible employability activities and career planning support is offered by the University’s Employability and Graduate Development team. Access to support including skills training, internships, jobs vacancies, employment fairs and other events is available through the Career Zone at the Forum or via our online portal.
