Incoming Students
EU students who are taking part of a designated UK course as an integrated part of an undergraduate course in another EU country will be charged the appropriate proportion of the appropriate UK full-time fee. No fee, however, is payable in respect of EU students spending a period of study at the University under the aegis of the EU's SOCRATES-ERASMUS Programme.
No fee is payable by International "exchange" students, however International "non-exchange" students pay the University tuition fee at "JYA" level.
Outgoing Students
UK/EU students studying on a designated UK course taking part of that course in another EU country pay full tuition fees to the University in accordance with the details shown.
Students studying at an Institution in the EU under the aegis of the EU's SOCRATES-ERASMUS Programme, who are EU residents may qualify for reduced tuition fees.
To qualify for one full year tuition fee waiver the student must either complete:
- full academic year Erasmus Study, or
- full academic year Erasmus Work Placement, or
- full academic year British Council Teaching Assistantship, or
- 2 semesters of any combination of the above to make up one full academic year e.g. Erasmus Study and Erasmus Work
International Students may study at an Erasmus partner institution, however they are not eligible for an Erasmus tuition fee waiver from the University of Exeter. If studying for a full year the fee payable is half of the University of Exeter Home/EU tuition fee; if studying for less than one year, the fee payable is the full University of Exeter International tuition fee for that year.
Islands students are eligible for an Erasmus grant but they are liable to pay 50% of the University of Exeter full-time Home/EU tuition fee. Islands students studying at an Erasmus partner for one semester will be liable for the full Islands tuition fee for that academic year and will receive and Erasmus grant.
All other students studying abroad for the full year (with the exception of BA English with Study in North America) pay 50% of the full time tuition fee in accordance with the details shown on the fee summary (Band 1, 2, or 3 as applicable).
All other students studying abroad for less than a full academic year are liable for the full tuition fee (Band 1, 2, or 3 as applicable).
