National Scholarship Programme Fee Waiver 2012/13
The information of this scheme applies if you are starting your studies in September 2012.
The key features of the scheme are;
- it is open to UK and EU undergraduate students starting their studies in September 2012.
- if you are eligible for the full £3,000 fee waiver, you can opt to receive £1,000 if this as an NSP Award which will be paid into your bank account
- you will continue to receive an NSP Fee Waiver for each year of your course provided that you continue to meet the eligibility criteria
- if your course involves a year abroad or placement year, you will receive a fee waiver for this year paid in proportion to your tuition fee
The scholarship amounts and income thresholds for 2012/13 are:
| Annual Household Income | Amount of Scholarship |

| £16,000 or less | £3,000 (this can be taken as a fee waiver, or you can choose to receive £1,000 as an NSP Award, and £2,000 as a fee waiver) |
| £16,000 to £20,000 | £2,000 fee waiver |
| £20,000 to £25,000 | £1,000 fee waiver |

NB - if you are a student who receives financial support from the Welsh government, your fee waiver will be reduced in proportion to your tuition fee liability. This is because in 2012/13 Welsh students will receive a tuition fee grant of £5,535.
Payment of the NSP Award
The payment dates and amounts of the NSP Award for 2012/13 are;

| Friday 10th May 2013 | £200 |
The award will be paid directly to your nominated bank account. You will be asked to provide your bank details when you register with the university. After this time, you can add or change your bank details by using the Finance tab in your MyExeter account.
