Welcome to the Washington Singer Hub

Latest news

University of Exeter Professor, Stephen Lea has officially opened the new social and study place, now named, the Lea Hub, in Washington Singer by formally cutting the ribbon at an opening event with colleagues and students.

Professor Lea, formerly Deputy Vice Chancellor, Dean of the Faculty of Science, and Head of the School of Psychology, joined the University in 1976, and was a strong advocate for creating a space to promote informal discussion between students and academics. We hope the new social study space will help facilitate this for everyone who uses the building.

The Lea hub is just part of the Washington Singer hub and the new student facilities we are investing in to enhance your time here at Exeter. Find out more here.

What you can expect

As well as brand new study and social space, the Lea Hub features a self-service area with a microwave and hot/cold water, and a range of informal seating.

These new facilties support the Washington Singer information point – Info at Washington Singer, which is open from 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday. This is the place to go for any questions you may have about your life as an Exeter student, as well as specific course or timetable queries. Info at Washington Singer will give you the support you need quickly and efficiently.

This work has included improving access to two of our most important services; careers and wellbeing, which are now available in the Queen's building or via the Interim Peter Chalk Hub. Find out more at your information point.
