Career Zone hosts first ever Ernst & Young Live event

Ernst & Young used the space to create an interactive presentation and networking event consisting of several small employability pods. The aim of the evening was to give students a real insight into life at the company through meeting current interns and employees. Students were then able to ask them questions about the company whilst showing their current skills during a variety of tasks.

Natalie Horlock, Employer Liaison Officer at the University of Exeter, said: “I was delighted when Ernst & Young chose to open their EY Live tour at Exeter. By holding the event in the Career Zone we have been able to showcase the unique facilities we can offer graduate recruiters seeking to engage with our students. It was a great success for Ernst & Young, the students and the Employability and Graduate Development team, and got the autumn term’s employer recruitment activity off to a flying start.”

The UK’s leading employers are expecting to increase their graduate recruitment by 6.4% in 2012.  An exciting range of companies are coming to the University of Exeter’s campuses in Exeter and Cornwall, keen to attract Exeter students to their placement and graduate schemes. These include Mars, Danone, HSBC, Estée Lauder, Bank of England, Lloyd’s of London, Glaxosmithkline, The Co-operative and Diageo.
