Print Power celebrates Exeter Student Press
‘Print Power: A History of Exeter through the Student Press’ is a student-led exhibition celebrating the 25th anniversary of the University of Exeter’s student newspaper Exeposé. The exhibition features the top stories from the past quarter of a century and testimonials from previous editors.
Over the past 25 years, numerous students have worked hard to report the news and debates which have shaped the city's history. Student writers have recorded events of national importance such as Her Majesty the Queen’s visits to Exeter, alongside local reports that have affected the student population and residents alike. From serious stories and cutting commentary to reviews of comedy, art, music and films, Exeposé has sought to provide its readership with the best journalism its student body can provide.
Zoe Bulaitis and Tom Payne, current Exeposé editors, said: “As Exeposé continues to grow and develop as an institution within the University of Exeter, a look backward provides a chance to commemorate the triumphs of the newspaper so far. With an entirely voluntary team of student writers, editors and proofreaders, we also celebrate the commitment of the individuals involved over the past 25 years.”
The free exhibition runs from Sunday 21 October until 4 November, and is located on the ground floor of the Forum.
The celebrations kick off with a celebration dinner on Sunday 21st October, and all staff and students are welcome to join the editorial team, previous editors and some successful alumni to celebrate with a formal dinner at Reed Hall. Tickets are on sale at the Guild Info Point in the Forum or online.
