Why did you choose the University of Exeter?

In the field of Civil Engineering, the University of Exeter is one of the best in the UK and since my first year at INTO I have fallen in love with the city. Therefore, there was no second choice for me.

Why did you choose your current programme of study?

I opted for MEng Civil Engineering because to pursue Civil Engineering as a career has been a dream of mine since my school days and my family’s business revolves around civil engineering.

What do you enjoy most about your University programme?

The difficulty is what I enjoy most about this programme because it drives me to limits which I was not sure that I could reach. The last three years have made me a more productive person than I was ever before, and I am embracing it.

What is the best thing about studying with students from all around the world?

I get to learn cultural differences and new languages. Everything which is new to me is extremely interesting and I enjoy learning about other people from different cultures. To learn how similar our cultures are is also fun.

What are the best things about Exeter?

Exeter is a safe city and most of the city is filled with students. The size of it is perfect to get around. There are plenty of places in Exeter for students to hangout and extremely friendly locals. It all feels like a close-knit community.

What activities and societies have you been involved in since starting at Exeter?

I go to the local gym Fitness First. I also have joined Exeter Comedy Society, Exeter Photography Society, Exeter Badminton Club and Exeter Engineering Society.

What do you enjoy doing in Exeter and where is your favourite place to go?

My favourite thing to do in Exeter is walk when its sunny and play badminton when its raining outside. My favourite place would be the Quay Climbing Centre. My favourite place on campus would be the Forum Library because it somehow helps me to be more productive and finish my tasks on time.
