Why did you decide that Exeter was the best place to study?

I chose Exeter as I am very familiar and comfortable with the programmes offered by the University after a year of study at INTO University of Exeter. Secondly, the Psychology Programme offered by the University is one of the top among UK Universities. Lastly, Exeter is one of the safest cities in the UK. Being alone overseas, safety is one of the most crucial factors for me to consider and Exeter met my requirements perfectly.

Why did you choose your course?

I have always been captivated by the thought of how events that occurred during childhood or how a particular incident can have a massive impact in shaping a person’s future behaviours, personalities and perspectives. As such, I am particularly interested to uncover and understand the psychological rationale behind all these events. I strongly believed that I will be able to discover the answers to my queries through studying Psychology.

What do you enjoy most about the course?

I enjoy the extensiveness of the coverage of the Psychology programme. It covers many different aspects of psychology, ranging from clinical psychology to statistics and research methods. It has therefore exposed me to the various potential fields in psychology. As such, this widens my future career selection options.

What is your favourite memory so far of the University of Exeter?

I have travelled to many cities in the UK such as Bristol, Stonehenge, Bath and Plymouth with a bunch of friends and I am blessed being able to create such fond and long-lasting memories with them along the way.

What are the best things about Exeter as a city?

Exeter is definitely a great place to study in. It has a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. Besides, Exeter being one of the safest cities in the UK is another reason for me to further pursue my studies. Additionally, numerous festivals are held in Exeter throughout the year. Annual Exeter Christmas market, Food Festival, Bonfire Night and many more events can be found in Exeter.

Personally, I love to play board games and spend time chilling with my friends. My favourite go-to place in Exeter is definitely “Board”, a board gaming restaurant. They offer a range of fresh food and drinks, and my favourite is definitely their burgers. Most importantly, there are a wide selection of board games for us to choose from. It is always fun to spend time with my friends at Board.
