University of Exeter Global Commitment Scholarship 2020/21

About the award

For 2020/21, to support you though the challenges of the global pandemic, we are pleased to offer international students beginning a standalone postgraduate taught Masters degree (eg MA, MSc, MRes, MFA) or research degree (eg MPhil/PhD) with us a University of Exeter Global Commitment Scholarship of £2,000 towards the cost of their tuition fees.

Entry requirements

The Global Commitment Scholarship is available to international students for all standalone postgraduate programmes excluding the following non-standard courses and those delivered by a partner business or other institution:

  • PGCE
  • Degree Apprenticeships
  • MSc Island Biodiversity and Conservation
  • LLB Graduate Law 
  • Legal Practice Course (LPC)
  • Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL)
  • MA Education (online)

In order to be eligible for the scholarship, you must be classified as an international student for fees purposes, wholly or partly self-funded, meet the entry requirements for your chosen programme and enrol on this programme in 2020/21. 

How to apply

The scholarship will be automatically applied to eligible postgraduate applicants enrolling for study beginning in the 2020/21 academic year.  A separate application is not required.  (The scholarship application deadline that appears below is for internal administration purposes only.

This award is not recurrent for subsequent years of study.

Ordinarily you cannot receive more than one scholarship from the University of Exeter, with the exception of any Prompt Payment Reward to which you might be eligible. However, for 2020/21 a further exception has been applied to the Global Commitment Scholarship, which can also be held in conjunction with another University-funded scholarship. If you are eligible for multiple scholarships, you will be awarded whichever scholarship has the higher value and then the Global Commitment Scholarship will be added on top.
