Commonwealth Shared Scholarships Scheme
The Commonwealth Shared Scholarships Scheme is a joint initiative between the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and UK universities.
Chevening Scholarships are the UK government’s global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations. The Scholarships are awarded to outstanding scholars with leadership potential. Awards are typically for a one-year Master’s degree. Chevening Scholars come from over 110 countries worldwide (excluding the USA and the EU).
Information about the subject preferences (for specific countries) can be found in the Chevening Country-specific Subject Areas guide (pdf).
Applications for 2013/14 Chevening Scholarships are open from the end of October 2012 and close in December 2012. Information about the application process and the guidance notes can be found on the Chevening website.
