The University is justifiably proud  that the majority of the targets set out in the original 10 year sustainable travel plan (2007 - 2017) were achieved in the first 3 years and we have seen a significant shift towards more sustainable travel choices amongst our staff and students

Travelling by rail

Exeter has two mainline railway stations - Exeter St David's (main station) and Exeter Central. The average journey time from London Paddington is 2 hours 30 minutes to Exeter. The Streatham Campus is a 10 minute walk from St David's station and 15 minutes from Exeter Central station. The walking route is signed from St David's' station and the Streatham Campus map shows the walking route.

Rail Cards

There are a number of railcard options available to help students save money on your train travel. For example if you are between 16-25 or a mature full time registered student you can purchase a young person’s railcard to give you discounted fares (1/3 off).  A young person’s railcard costs £28 and you would save the price of the railcard with one ticket purchase of a return from Exeter to London Waterloo.
