Women in STEM Activities

Year group - Year 9-12
Date - 12th February 2020, 23rd June 2020

Linked to International Day of Women and Girls in Science, International Women in Engineering Day, and International Women’s Day, the University will be running a range of events aimed at encouraging more girls to considering studying, and careers in, STEM subjects. With places for Year 9 – 12 students, the days will include interactive workshops and talks from inspirational female role models. Dates are as follows:

Women in STEM Day

12th February 2020, University of Exeter Streatham Campus
23rd June 2020, University of Exeter Penryn Campus

Throughout the day students will be able to learn about the multitude of areas across the sciences in which women have had an incredible impact. As well as echoing the very ethos of International Women in STEM Day, we hope that it will raise the profile of women in Science and focuses attention on the amazing career opportunities available to women in this exciting industry. Students will hear from female role models who will share their journey and research in order to inspire them and help inform their choices.
