On campus visits

We host opportunities for different year groups to visit our campuses throughout the year. A list of the opportunities to visit our campuses in the academic year 2019/20 can be found below.

Streatham Campus



We host a range of subject events on our campuses for years 12 and 13 at our Streatham and Penryn Campuses throughout the academic year. These activities and events give students the exciting opportunity to find out more about different subject areas; some of which they may have not had the chance to study before. These events and activities include teaching enrichment days, the discovery series and our annual conference series. Further information about our subject specific activities can be found here

Students who are interested in studying at the University of Exeter, or wish to see a university campus, are welcome to book a place on our Open Days taking place throughout the year. In 2020 we will be holding Open Days on the following dates:

Thursday 28th May, Penryn Campus

Friday 29th May, Exeter Campuses

Saturday 30th May, Exeter Campuses

Saturday 5th September, Exeter Campuses

Saturday 26th September, Penryn Campus

Accessing Higher Education - Explore a subject- date tbc

This event is aimed primarily at Year 11 students (places are available for Yr10 students who are already actively interested in university) and would like to find out more about how they prepare for applying to higher education, subject options open to them and study pathways to access those subjects. The day, which will be led by staff and current students, will also enable students to find out more about life as a student and provide them with an opportunity to explore a university campus.

Who can attend?

  • KS4 students
  • Students must be predicted a minimum of 8 GCSEs at A*-C or 9-4 including Maths and English Language and be interested in finding out more about higher education.
  • We welcome school groups. Please be aware that due to numbers, in the first instance, we will need to limit bookings to 50 students per school. If additional places become available we will contact you.

KS3 Visit Days

June and July 2020, Years 7-9

During the summer term we will be holding visit days for students in years 7-9. During these visits students will explore our Streatham Campus and here from current students providing them with an insight into what higher education is like. 

The KS3 visit days are open to all schools and on a first come first served basis. Due to other commitments we are only able to offer these visits on set dates. Each advertised date will see us run two simultaneous sessions for students which incorporate a tour of the campus and a presentation delivered by our student ambassadors. Each session will be able to accommodate up to 120 students (minimum group size of 40). Due to demand each school will only be able to book a maximum of two sessions enabling them to bring up to 240 students.

Penryn Campus

We host school visits throughout the academic year for students in years 7-12 at our Penryn campus. These visits give students the chance to see what a university is like first hand and learn about progression in to higher education.

These days usually run from 10am-2pm and are tailored to the age group and needs of your students usually consisting of a couple of workshops and a campus tour.
