Accreditation
Our LLB programmes provide an excellent start to a legal career if that is your goal, equipping you with the knowledge and skills that will support you towards the next steps to professional legal qualification. This includes the 'foundations of legal knowledge' subjects required for the academic stage of qualification as a barrister. If you plan to qualify as a solicitor or barrister, after you graduate you will need to comply with the further training and other requirements of the Solicitors Regulation Authority or the Bar Standards Board, or the relevant regulatory body in the country in which you intend to practice.
High quality education in a small, friendly campus
The LLB Law with Business includes practical experience of law through clinical work
Working in partnership with law firms to develop skills and improve opportunities for our students
Working alongside the internationally recognised, triple accredited University of Exeter Business School
Triple accreditation indicates adherence to rigorous quality control and extremely high standards of teaching.
I have received a lot of support from tutors and lectures on my course. They are fantastic at responding to emails and any worries, and they also put on Law Lab for us every Monday morning to answer any questions and bring us all together to check that we are all happy with how the course is going.
I was never an A grade student. I always felt like a bit of a fake and as if I did not deserve to go to university, more specifically a top UK university. I found the whole process of A-Levels particularly stressful as I put an awful lot of pressure on myself, staying in college until late in the evening and not going out at weekends.
I was lucky enough to be let onto the course even though I did not quite achieve the grades that were offered to me. I think “contextual offers” are really important, as we can never really know the circumstances as to why a prospective student has underachieved in a particular area. There could have been a completely separate event not connected to their academic work which may have thrown them, which a contextual offer may take into account when applying to university.
