Our BSc Applied Business Management offers the exciting opportunity to gain three qualifications through one programme, all whilst gaining valuable real-world work experience.

In addition to your BSc Applied Business Management degree, you will gain a Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship and a Level 5 Management and Leadership qualification from the Chartered Manager Institute (CMI).

A Chartered Manager is someone who can take responsibility for people, projects, operations and/or services to deliver long term organisational success. They have the ability to deliver impact, behave ethically and demonstrate their commitment to continual learning and development.

Who is it for?

The Degree Apprenticeship is suitable for professional managers who work across a wide range of industries and sectors who have an interest to develop their business and management acumen. Example job roles may include: Manager; Senior Manager; Head of Department; Operations Manager; or anyone with significant management responsibilities.

The Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship for current staff will commence delivery in Sept 2018. A second cohort for direct entry apprentices will start in Sept 2019.

How does it work?

Your employer covers your tuition fees for all three or four years, meaning you graduate ‘tuition fee debt free’. If you are finishing further education and not currently with an employer, there is the option to apply for a full time role with one of our employer partners, where you will get paid to study during working hours.

You’ll gain the skills and knowledge needed to take responsibility for people, projects, operations and services and deliver long term organisation success.

Entry requirements 2019

Individual employers will set the selection criteria for their Apprenticeships in discussion with the University. Most candidates will have A Levels (or equivalent) or existing relevant Level 3 qualifications, and English, Maths and ICT at Level 2. Other relevant or prior experience may also be considered as an alternative.

About the apprenticeship

As an apprentice you will be a full salaried member of your organisation, typically earning between £13,000 and £19,000. Much of your learning will take place at work, either through projects linked to academic content or time set aside for distance learning.
