Undergraduate Global Excellence Scholarship

At the University of Exeter we combine world-class teaching and research from exceptional locations in South West England. We have more than £1.5 million worth of scholarships available for international fee paying students applying to study with us in September 2018.

Scholarships will be awarded for outstanding academic quality and you will be automatically considered when you apply; there is no separate process.

Undergraduate Global Excellence scholarships are worth up to £5000, payable as a reduction of the 2018 international tuition fee for the first year of study only (applicants applying for advanced entry are not eligible).

How to apply

The award values and number of awards vary on a subject-by-subject basis. Scholarships are available in the following disciplines:

Please note: awards made by the Business School and for Engineering and Renewable Energy have a recurrent element - full details will be provided in the scholarship offer letter to successful awardees.

We encourage you to apply as early as possible via UCAS and before 15 January but will continue to consider applications from international students until 30 June if places are available.

As scholarships will be awarded from the beginning of the application cycle, we encourage an early application to ensure you are considered before all funds are allocated.

If you are offered a Global Excellence scholarship you will receive an e-mail notification following receipt of your University offer confirming the amount you may be eligible to receive dependent on your final academic grades.

To accept the award scholars must make the University of Exeter's offer the Firm Choice no later than 2 May 2018.

Terms and Conditions

This award will be automatically allocated to outstanding applicants applying for the first time in the 2018/19 cycle; a separate application is not required.

Academic merit, as determined by information provided in the application form, is the sole determinant in identifying potential scholars.

Awardees will be required to satisfy any academic requirements stipulated in their scholarship offer letter no later than 31 August 2018
