To find out more about the University and have a look around come and visit on one of our open days.Mature students
Visiting the University
One of the best ways to find out whether a particular university is for you is by visiting in person. Here at Exeter we welcome visits from prospective students and there are a number of events arranged specifically to help you decide if you would like to apply.
To find out more about Open Days, campus tours and other events that may be of interest, and to make a booking, please visit our Visiting us pages.
Open Days
Our Open Days allow you to find out more about studying at the University and the support available to you as a mature student. There will also be an opportunity for you to meet with other mature students who recently returned to study.
Guided campus tours
We regularly run tours of our campuses where you will be shown many of the facilities such as the library, Students’ Guild (students’ union) buildings and sports facilities. The tours are generally led by one of our current students. The tours don’t include visits to subject departments but you are welcome to contact departments direct to see if you can visit them whilst you are on campus. Many subject admissions staff welcome the opportunity to meet prospective mature students and discuss entry requirements and course content, but their availability will be dependant on teaching commitments.
You can also have a look round independently at any time using our self guided tour sheet which you can download from our Campus Tours page.
Group visits
We welcome visits from tutor groups and can tailor a visit to suit your needs. This might include a campus tour, presentation about financial support, visits to departments or a presentation about applying to Exeter. Please talk to your tutor who can contact us to discuss this further.
