Congratulations on receiving your offer of a place at the University of Exeter's Penryn Campus in Cornwall
Choosing your university is an important decision and we hope that the Offer-Holder Visit Day you have booked will give you all the information you need to help you make that decision.
Whether you've visited us before or not, we strongly recommend coming to an Offer-Holder Visit Day. Please take time to go through each of the tabs on this page to get all the information you need before you arrive. Hard copies of information will be available on the day.

Each day is filled with opportunities for you to see the facilities, meet staff and students, and experience the atmosphere of the University for yourself.
We recommend you take some time to plan your day so that you don’t miss an important presentation or tour.
Each Offer-Holder Visit Day will run from 09:00 -15:30. During this time you will have the opportunity to spend time with your academic department, takes tours of the campus and accommodation, and also attend a range of presentations (Admissions, Student Life, Student Finance, Employability and our Accommodation).
If you have issues at all on the day, please come to the registration desk in the Stannary where we’ll be more than happy to help. Plus, our student ambassadors will be scattered across Campus in their bright yellow t-shirts if you need assistance.

Arrival and registration
We will be open for registration from 09:00. Upon arrival please register in The Stannary by presenting your booking confirmation, which you will receive via email when making your booking.
Please note: in line with our commitment to environmental sustainability, we will not be providing carrier bags at the event, so you may wish to bring a bag with you for any literature you collect.
Visitors with disabilities/special needs

Hot and cold food can be purchased from The Stannary and Koofi Cafe. There is also a shop on campus.
Free parking is available for all the Offer-Holder Visit Days on the Penryn Campus.
Directions to the Penryn Campus
The Penryn Campus is approximately two hours’ drive from Exeter. From the north, take the A30 west from Exeter until you reach the A39 signposted Truro. Drive through Truro, following the signs A39 to Falmouth. Follow the A39 towards Falmouth until you come to the Treliever roundabout, where you will see signs to the Penryn Campus.
Use postcode TR10 9FE. Please be aware that this is a relatively new postcode and may not be recognised by your sat nav system if it is not up-to-date.
The Penryn Campus is approximately two and a half hours by train from Exeter. The campus is in Penryn, which has its own station. There is a frequent direct service to Truro from London, the Midlands and North and other major British cities. At Truro, change to the branch line service to Falmouth and leave the train at Penryn. The station is approximately a 15 minute walk from the campus.

NB: There is no taxi rank at Penryn station. Taxis should be booked by prior arrangement, phone: 01326 373007. Alternatively, the U1 bus service from Truro Bus Station drops you direct to the campus. For timetabling visit the Traveline SouthWest website.
Great Western Trains are currently offering a 20% discount on Advance Purchase tickets to any visitors attending the Penryn Campus Open Day. Bookings must be made via this link.
Discount is only available against advance fare tickets. This offer can also be used alongside other railcards for further discount (a total of 50% discount is available if used with a Student Railcard).
Free shuttle bus to the campus from Penryn train station
For those travelling by rail, there is a free Summercourt Travel shuttle bus service from Penryn train station to and from the campus, running from 08:00 until 16:00 (last bus from the campus bus stop). If you would prefer to book a taxi from the station, telephone +44 (0)1326 373007 or +44 (0)1326 212141.
National Express coaches stop in Penryn. For timetables, visit the National Express website or for passenger information phone: +44 (0) 08717 818181. The U1 bus service from Truro Bus Station drops you direct to the campus. For bus services within the southwest, visit the Traveline SouthWest website.
There is also a Megabus stop in Falmouth, and the bus goes via the Penryn Campus. Please take a look at locations that travel to Falmouth on their website.
The closest airport to the campus is Newquay. Flybe operates direct flights from London Gatwick with a flight time of approximately 70 minutes, as well as from Glasgow and Manchester; connecting flights are available to other destinations.
Car hire and taxi services are also available at Newquay Airport.

NB: Newquay Airport is approximately 40 km from Penryn. If you’re using public transport you'll need to take a bus from the airport to Newquay, and then another bus to Penryn (typical total journey time one and a half to two hours). The campus is roughly three quarters of an hour to an hour's drive by car from Newquay.

Led by Student Ambassadors, tours of the campus are scheduled to run throughout the day.
Lasting around 30 minutes you will have the opportunity to see our on-campus student accommodation, Glasney Village. You can also view our off-campus accommodation at The Sidings, located next to Penryn train station by taking the free train station suttle bus. You may also wish speak to staff on the Accommodation stand in the Sports Centre.

Lasting approximately 30 minutes Student Ambassadors will show you the main buildings and facilties across the campus, including the Sports Centre, Library, Careers Zone, Student Union, Refectory, Support Services as well as teaching spaces. You may also wish to talk to representatives from these areas at the Information Fair in the Sports Centre.
