Right to work
It is essential that you bring to the interview the original version plus a photocopy (if possible in colour) of one of your Right to Work documents, which will be used as proof of your right to work in the UK. You must give this to a member of the interview panel or another relevant person at your interview, even if it is not asked for.
Failure to provide evidence of your Right to Work documents may result in a delay to your start date should you be successful as you will not be able to start work without us seeing the original documents. We will only keep documents for the successful applicant(s), all other documents will be destroyed.
Please see our Right to Work website for more information.
If particular qualification(s) are stated in the person specification, then please also bring with you evidence of the original versions and a photocopy, i.e. PhD, degree certificate, transcript.
We reimburse interview expenses for Grade E and above roles.
Please book your travel and accommodation directly and then reclaim the cost using the expense claim form.
NB: There are limits on the level of expense we will reimburse. We also only reimburse the cost of travel by economy class where public transport is used.
Please ensure you send us the original receipts only, as photocopies cannot be accepted.
Claims should not be sent to Human Resources. Instead you will be provided with the correct contact on your interview itinerary - please check the email you received from us regarding this.
If you are travelling from outside the United Kingdom, please contact your Recruitment Administrator as soon as possible to discuss, and prior to making any arrangements. If your travel arrangements make it necessary for you to spend another night in Exeter or your port of entry into the United Kingdom, then please contact us before making any arrangements to discuss further.
Please book your accommodation directly then reclaim as per the above interview expenses process.
In Exeter we recommend the following hotels. Quote “University of Exeter” to receive the corporate rate (Premier Inn do not offer a corporate rate though prices are competitive).
In Cornwall we recommend the following hotels. Please quote ‘Falmouth Exeter Plus’ to get preferential rates.
