Incubator Project Grants

Incubator Project Grants are funds of up to £3000 to support education pedagogic innovation and are for educators at the University of Exeter who want to test ideas, explore, and transform their teaching and learning practice, as well as improve student engagement and the learning experience.

In this 22-23 academic year, in the spirit of innovation, we are exploring and changing the way in which we are offering Incubator Project funding.

We have capped funding for each project grant to £3000 and we expect the project to be delivered over six months. We will offer one cycle of funding in the 22-23 academic year for pedagogic innovation projects.

The timeline for our Incubator Project Grants is set out below:

  • Open Call live for applicants: 14th November 22

  • Application closed: 5th December 22

  • Applicants notified of application status: 12th December 22

  • Successful Education Innovation Projects Grants receive funding and start project delivery: 9th January 23

  • Education Innovation Projects completed: 31st July 23

The project delivery will last 6 months, hence project timelines and plans in this application should account for a 6-month delivery starting from the date of being awarded the grant (9th January 23 – 31st July 23)

Each year the Education Incubator identifies themes under which projects should align their application. The themes for 2022- 2023 are TBC and will be updated in due course.
