Biodiversity
Exeter alumnus, broadcaster and naturalist Nick Baker led a group of over 150 volunteering students, academics, members of the public and Devon Wildlife Trust experts for the first ever Bioblitz at the University of Exeter. The Bioblitz, a quick census of species at the University, identified around 250 species in a period of 2 hours in the plantation area of Streatham Campus. This census marked the launch of the “Birds and Bees” campaign which will develop Biodiversity Enhancement Plans for the Exeter Campuses, in response to t. This will be delivered in partnership with Biosciences academics, Campus staff, students, Devon Wildlife Trust and Exeter Wild City.
