Biodiversity

  • The University of Exeter’s Streatham and St Luke’s campuses again received a prestigious Green Flag Award, which recognises and rewards the best parks and green spaces across the country. This was the second year running that the St Luke’s Campus has been awarded Green Flag status and the fourth consecutive year for the Streatham Campus.

  • In November 2013, collaboration between the Sustainability Team, the Grounds Team and Devon Wildlife Trust saw a range of biodiversity themed events on the Exeter campuses. These included tree planting events at the Community Garden on the Streatham Campus, Rowancroft residences, and in the Devonshire Place Community Orchard, which were well attended by staff and student volunteers and a flower planting event with schoolchildren from St David’s Primary School at Duryard.
