Environmental Management Systems

The Environmental Sustainability Policy has been reviewed in full and published. This document links to the University’s values and supports “Our Strategy 2017-2021”. The revised document has clear environmental commitments and defines the roles and responsibilities of individuals and groups for environmental sustainability.  The role of tenants and partners has also been articulated within the revised document.  The new policy applies to all activities across all campuses. 

To support the Environmental Policy, a new standard for the Management of Environmental Sustainability has been prepared and the Waste and Recycling Strategy has also been published.

The certification to ISO14001:2004 Environmental Management System has been maintained for Campus Services in 2017, with plans to undergo full recertification and transition to ISO14001:2015 in April 2018.
