Apply For Student-Led Gender Safety Project Fund

Student-Led Gender Safety Projects 2021/22

Student-Led Gender Safety Projects 2021/22

The Exeter Education Incubator is looking for teams of students who want to work on Gender Safety projects at the University of Exeter. These projects are run in conjunction with the Provost’s Office.

You will be able to bid for up to £5,000 to run your project from October 2021 to July 2022.

Writing a Project Bid

To be successful, you will need to have identified a clear challenge or problem and have developed a plan for how you will contribute to solving this issue through your project.

Each project will benefit from a supported and structured approach to developing your solution to address racism affecting students. Successful projects teams will:

- have an immediate and sustained emphasis on a supportive network and access to institutional knowledge to make change;

- have your work on the project recognised and paid for;

- be able to access dedicated support available to explore sustainable funding streams.

Application Workshops

We are also running a series of workshops on how to write a successful application. These are scheduled for Tuesday 12th and Thursday 14th October from 11am - 12 noon. If you would like to come to one of these sessions, or have any questions on writing an application, please email us at
