Writing research abstracts

Karen lobbied for the reinstatement of the student session at the United Kingdom Radiological Congress (UKRC) with the result that students are once again submitting their abstracts. This year, thirty students submitted abstracts and six presented in the UKRC student session, including one from the University of Exeter.

Learning from experts

Karen helps her students to develop their diagnostic skills by using video to showcase the strategies of the novice, intermediate and expert radiographers and radiologists.

Aim 3: Research-inspired, inquiry-led learning
To extend the opportunities for students to learn in innovative ways through their own research and inquiry

Presenting at conferences

"...this year there were nearly thirty abstracts submitted just by students, so this has been a really successful addition [so] that students can go on and promote their universities and promote the good work they have been doing."

Learning from experts

"In a study we worked with some radiologists and registrars to actually compare our students to intermediate and experienced users".
