Key dates for current students

There's lots you have to remember about your accommodation contract throughout the year such as fee due dates and moving out dates.  Check the dates below to ensure you never forget an important deadline.

  • Catered students return to their rooms following the Christmas vacation on Sunday 7 January 2018.

  • Term starts on Monday 8 January 2018.

  • Our accommodation drop-in sessions begin from Monday 8 January 2018. We will be available in The Forum (via SID) on the Streatham Campus between 11:00am-3:00pm Monday to Friday.

  • 13 January 2018 contracts end for semester one part year Study Abroad/Erasmus students. Students are required to vacate by 10:00am.

  • Returning students continue thinking about accommodation options for further years of study and continue to look for private accommodation within the city.

  • Private accommodation is continuously being added to the Studentpad website and we recommend that students also check the University Noticeboard for any available vacancies.

  • If you are looking for people to live with then add yourself as a 'sharer' and search for other 'sharers' to live with through the Studentpad Message Board.

  • Accommodation fees are due for the second term during January. For information on the different payment methods available, please visit the Student Finance 'how to pay' pages.
  • Students living within our catered accommodation are required to vacate university accommodation for the Easter break on Saturday 31 March 2018.  Read our moving out information about what needs to be done prior to your departure.

  • Catered students who need to vacate during Easter, please read our Accommodation Blog for information about availability within our self-catered rooms for this period.
  • Do you need to be in accommodation longer than your contract? Why not consider summer accommodation which can be offered for a minimum contract length of one month until September. Please visit our summer accommodation webpages for further information.

  • Accommodation fees are due for the third term on 7 May 2018. For information on the different payment methods available, please visit the Student Finance 'how to pay' pages.

  • Students living within catered accommodation return to their rooms after the Easter vacation on Sunday 29 April 2018.
  • Our accommodation drop-in sessions are available in The Forum (via SID) on the Streatham Campus between 12:00pm-2:00pm Monday to Friday.

  • University of Exeter accommodation fees due for the third term are due on 7 May 2018. Please see the Student Finance 'how to pay' pages for the different payment methods available.

  • Summer accommodation applications open for students wishing to stay during the summer vacation for a minimum contract length of one month. The date for this is to be confirmed.
  • Students who are moving out of University accommodation, please read our moving out information which includes information about the Moving On Project where you are able to donate some of your unwanted items to charity.

    • Catered students vacate on Saturday 16 June 2018.
    • Self-catered students on a 40 week contract vacate on Saturday 23 June 2018.

  • Accommodation fees are due for those students with a 51 contract on 25 June 2018. For information on the different payment methods available, please visit the Student Finance 'how to pay' pages.
  • Students who are moving out of University accommodation, please read our moving out information which includes information about our Moving On Project where you are able to donate some of your unwanted items to charity.

    • Self-catered students on a 42 week contract vacate on Saturday 7 July 2018.
    • Self-catered students on a 43 week contract vacate on Saturday 14 July 2018*.
    • Self-catered students on a 44 week contract vacate on Saturday 21 July 2018.
  • Are you graduating this year and need somewhere to stay for this period? Our Event Exeter team may have some university accommodation available on a B&B basis. Find out more on our Visitor Information webpage.

*If you are vacating from one of our nominated contracts on a 43 week contract, please contact them directly about your departure.

  • Students who are returning to university accommodation, please make sure you read the moving in pages for information about what you need to bring with you.

  • Students living within our 51 contracts are due to vacate on Saturday 8 September 2018 at 10:00am. Please see the information on our moving out webpage for details about your departure.

  • Our accommodation drop-in sessions begin from Monday 24 September 2018. If you have a question about moving rooms or wish to speak to a member of the Accommodation Office, come and see us within our drop-in sessions within The Forum (via SID) on the Streatham Campus between 9:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday.

  • Accommodation fees are due in September. For information on the different payment methods available, please visit the Student Finance 'how to pay' pages.

  • The Accommodation Blog and our Accommodation Facebook page will provide you with information about on-campus events and accommodation announcements for those students staying within our residences. New blog posts for current students are available from 10:00am every Thursday.
  • If you are living in University of Exeter accommodation and need some support contact our Residence Life Team.

  • If you have a question about moving rooms or wish to speak to a member of the Accommodation Office, come and see us within our drop-in sessions within The Forum (via SID) available between 10:00am-4:00pm Monday to Friday.

  • Students will begin to think about private accommodation for next year and the Students' Guild start their Accommodation Campaign and will hold pop-up events and provide information about the 4Ps: Price, Place, People and Paperwork.

  • The Accommodation Blog and our Accommodation Facebook page will provide you with information about on-campus events and accommodation announcements for those students staying within our residences. New blog posts for current students are available from 10:00am every Thursday.
  • If you are living in University of Exeter accommodation and need some support contact our Residence Life Team.

  • If you are thinking about private housing after your first year then come along to the Students' Guild Accommodation Fair on Tuesday 21 November 2017 and read our private accommodation information for advice.

  • A number of flat mate finder and pop-up events are also scheduled throughout. We recommend viewing the Students' Guild webpages as they discuss the 4Ps: Price, Place, People and Paperwork.

  • Accommodation adverts for the next academic year will be live from Tuesday 21 November 2017 and will coincide with the Students' Guild Accommodation Fair. If you have any queries about this, please contact the Accommodation Office directly.

  • Students living within catered halls are required to vacate their accommodation during the Christmas vacation on Saturday 16 December 2017, please speak to a member of the Accommodation Office within one of our drop-in sessions in The Forum if you require self-catered accommodation for this period. Information about this will be available on the Accommodation Blog throughout November and December.
  • Students living within catered halls are required to vacate of their accommodation during the Christmas vacation on 15 December 2018, please see our moving out information about where to return your keys and how to leave your room during this period.

  • lf you require self-catered accommodation for this period. Information about this will be available on the Accommodation Blog throughout December. Please speak to a member of the Accommodation Office within one of our drop-in sessions in The Forum (via SID) if you require further assistance.
