"I have always played all sports from a young age. When I was 15 I deciding to focus on golf. I enjoy the competitive challenge that golf possesses and not being able to perfect the game, suits my competitive nature.

"Giving 100% to both golf and studying is very challenging. I have only been able to achieve a good balance with the support of the University and England Golf. This journey however, has not been easy. It has taking a lot of hard work and dedication alongside very good time management skills.

"Good organisational skills are required to keep up with the University work i.e. contacting lecturers prior to a tournament to get the work for the following week to ensure I remain up-to-date. Alongside this I have to continually work whilst away on tournaments, which is challenging in itself when trying to focus on competition.

"The financial support from the scholarship is invaluable, it has enabled me to support myself at University whilst also helping to finance competitions that I would otherwise be unable to attend. Access to the strength and conditioning team has given me the skills to understand what is necessary to compete at a high level. This is definitely something that I will take away and continue after my time at Exeter has finished.

"The sports scholarship team have also been great at communicating and helping to resolve any issues regarding competitions and work."
