Andy's epic challenge for Children with Leukaemia.

Happy alumnus runs Britain for charity

Andy Jackson, a History and Politics graduate who was diagnosed with leukaemia in 2003, is celebrating his survival eight years later by running from John O'Groats to Land's End - dressed as Mr Happy!

Andy received a life-saving bone marrow transplant and intensive leukaemia treatment and now wants to raise money to give children the same chance he had. He is running an average of 22 miles a day to raise significant funds for the charity, Children with Leukaemia.

Andy said, ‘I haven’t got a fundraising target in mind but would love to raise £250,000 - the amount that it cost to have my bone marrow transplant and all the follow up treatments.’

Andy is due to run through the Exeter area on 27th April. Donations can be made via Virgin Money Giving and further information can be found on Andy's webpage.
