Hong Kong Networking Event 2011

The Hong Kong Networking Event was a real success.

Networking event helps young alumni in Hong Kong

A networking event aimed at assisting young alumni with employability and networking skills took place at the Hong Kong Club.

Around 40 alumni attended the event hosted by Andrew Rickards, Chair of the Hong Kong Alumni Group (BSc Engineering Science, 1984), and attended by Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive Professor Sir Steve Smith, Dr Shaun Curtis (Director of International Exeter), Susie Hills (Director of Development and Alumni Relations), Tess Nixon (Senior Development Manager) and Adele Wordsworth (Events Manager).

Following an introduction by Professor Sir Steve Smith, Andrew Rickards gave a presentation and provided some insightful advice on career progression before introducing the three speakers: Andrew Debnam (BSc Engineering, 2001), Gus Henderson (BA Economics and Agricultural Economics. 1994) and Alex Trott (BA Geography with European Studies, 1997).

The event provided a fantastic opportunity for current Junior Year Abroad students in Hong Kong and recent alumni to network with senior successful alumni.

The University would like to thank all the alumni who helped to make it such a success.

Photos from the reception can be found in our Events Photo Gallery.
