Careers in Social Care, Science and Healthcare
This year, it was exciting to be able to hold our first in-person, on campus networking events once more. These always prove popular with students and alumni alike, as the two groups mingle and chat over refreshments.
On Thursday 31 March, five Biosciences and Psychology alumni came back to Exeter for a ‘Careers in Social Care, Science and Healthcare’ careers event:
- Ami Walsh– Trainee High Intensity Therapist at Devon Partnership NHS Trust
- Jade Drain – Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner at Livewell Southwest
- Megan Chilton – Assistant Training Manager, Bluebird Care
- Michelle Parrington – Therapist and Owner of Premier Therapy Exeter
- Ed Houchin– Strategic Associate Manager, Merck Group
The atmosphere was electric as students quizzed our alumni on their career journeys, their experience since graduation and their current job role and responsibilities. Employability tips were exchanged and networking contacts made in the Harrison building on Streatham Campus, in an evening that proved both illuminating and enjoyable for students and alumni alike.
