Changing Models of Leadership event in London.

Former Met Office CEO and Business School academics debate the Changing Models of Leadership at the Walkie-Talkie building

Exeter alumni and MBA participants had the chance last month to hear a keynote speech from Honorary Graduate and former Met Office CEO, John Hirst CBE, in the stylish surroundings of 20 Fenchurch Street.

Generously hosted by Markel International, John’s presentation was part of the Business School Alumni Association’s latest reception for alumni and supporters, entitled The Changing Models of Leadership.

Following John’s inspiring presentation, audience members took part in a lively Q&A session along with the other two panel members for the evening, Professors Alexandra Gerbasi and Ilke Inceoglu from the University of Exeter Business School.

Oladipo Oyewo (Mechanical Engineering 2012, MSc Engineering and Management 2013), previous alumni volunteer and guest on the evening, said “It was a pleasure to attend another well-organised Exeter University event at a brilliant location in the heart of London, and it was great to gain some useful and transferrable advice from top leaders in industry“
