South-West Alumnae Group's Successful Launch

Around 30 alumnae joined us at the Northcott Theatre to share their ideas on how the University can best support South-West based alumnae. The evening started with a tour of the Forum and the group was welcomed by Director of Academic Services and Deputy Registrar Michele Shoebridge.

Community garden

Alumni sought for green-fingered project

Keen alumni gardeners can join students, staff and fellow graduates to develop the University’s community garden on the Streatham Campus. The garden was started up by the Students’ Guild, University and members of the community nearly two years ago.

St Luke's Education summer reunion

Education alumni who graduated in 1988 are planning a 25-year reunion in Exeter this summer and the invitation’s extended to all those who graduated from the course in the 80s. Highlights of the reunion on July 13 will include a tour of the St Luke’s Campus and a summer BBQ at the Double Locks pub.

Alumna Professor Teresa Rees CBE was the keynote speaker at a special event to celebrate the University’s Athena SWAN Bronze Award status. The Athena SWAN Charter recognises commitment to advancing women's careers in science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine in higher education.

A new film illustrating our beautiful campuses, city and region has just been released to promote the University's International Summer School. The 2013 International Summer School runs from 20 July – 10 August and will attract 150 students from across the world.

Engineering students from Exeter are gearing up for a UK competition which will pit their engineering skills against 120 other universities. The aim of the competition is to introduce innovative car design.

BUCS sport update

It has been another excellent season so far for Exeter teams in inter-university BUCS (British Universities & Colleges Sport) competition. Our women's teams are leading the way of late with highlights including pending Championship Finals for our Women’s Cricket 1st team, Women’s Tennis 1st team and Women’s Rugby 1st team.
Ashes win

Ashes victory for Cricket Club

The Men’s Cricket Club have won a national competition to feature in the Official 2013 Ashes Computer Game. The Club fought off competition from 288 other teams vying for the honour and will now be immortalised in video format in the game which is due for release this summer.
