Nik Rahmel (BSc Information Technology Management for Business 2015)

Future Exeter students benefit from alumni stories

At our most recent Open Day, prospective Exeter students were able to meet alumnus Nik Rahmel (BSc Information Technology Management for Business 2015).

Nik spent the day on campus, inspiring visitors and their families about where a degree from Exeter could take them.

Nik, is now a Software Engineer for BBC iPlayer, gave an informal presentation about his experiences Exeter. “It was great to be back in Exeter and help out at the Open Day. I found it very interesting to see how the department has changed and grown in the last two years, and having 150 or so people interested in hearing about my experience at Exeter, and my career afterwards, made the trip definitely worth it” he said.

Dr Jacqui Christmas, who led the Computer Science open day, said “It was really useful having Nik at the open day. Visitors are interested in what happens after university, and he is employed by a very eminent corporation - the BBC.  He gave an accessible and interesting view of his time at University, as well as describing some aspects of his degree that particularly supported his career.” If you live in the UK and are interested in supporting our open days, please contact
