Training

Training

To support you with Challenges Online, we are running a series of online training sessions. You are welcome to attend as few or as many of these sessions as you want, depending on which skills you would like to enhance. These training sessions are split into three categories:

Introduction to Microsoft Teams training (compulsory session)

All Challenges Online students will attend a compulsory Microsoft Teams training session during 24th May-4th June.

We will be running two separate sessions, and you can select which session is most appropriate for you based on your previous experience with Microsoft Teams. All students must attend one session.

You can attend either 'Full Teams training' or the 'Challenges Online specific Teams training'.

This training is aimed at:

  1. People who have experience of Microsoft Teams, but would like to receive more detailed training related to the areas outlined below
  2. People with no prior experience of Microsoft Teams.

The training will cover:

Everything to do with chat and video calls, which you will use during the Challenges Online week:

  • Troubleshooting common audio/video problems
  • The different functionality available during video calls (sharing screen, changing background, adding live captions, raise hand, reactions, live polls, meeting recording, tips for if you have low bandwith)
  • Chat function and customising notification settings
  • Calendar function
  • Breakout rooms

Everything to do with the ‘Teams’ part of Microsoft Teams where you will be working with your group on your project:

  • How to access key channels and files during the week
  • Visibility of channels
