Meet the members of the Industry Advisory Group who are supporting the development of the Green Consultants programme.

Mark Elton

Founding Director at Aftermap

With over 22 years of broad environmental consultancy, Mark Elton is one of the UK’s leading urban regeneration focused environmental consultants.  Having held both Director and Business Director roles, he has managed teams for some of the UK’s major environmental and engineering consultancies. His extensive network of both client connections and co-professionals across all sectors esp. property and private development and has an effective blend of both business development and technical skills.

Emma Jolly

Senior Sustainability Consultant, Hoare Lea

Emma graduated from the University of Exeter (Cornwall Campus) in 2012 with a degree in Renewable Energy. Following her graduation, she completed a year internship as Sustainability and Low Carbon Project Officer as part of the joint estates services at the Penryn Campus where she was involved with energy management and reporting as well as coordinating and managing sustainability awareness initiatives. Since then, Emma has worked as a consultant in London, Reading and now Bristol where she is a Senior Sustainability Consultant for Hoare Lea, a multidiscipline engineering consultancy.

James Shears

Environmental and Sustainability Manager, Overbury and Morgan Lovell

James studied a BSc in Geography with Environmental Management at the University of Exeter, Cornwall Campus, continuing his studies with a MSc in Sustainable Development where he specialised in sustainable waste management. James was one of the first students to be part of the Green Consultants programme, through which he did a project on the Cornwall Campus and undertook an internship with Vinci Construction.

Doug Eltham

Doug is a Chartered Environmentalist and is the Environment and Sustainability Policy Officer at Devon County Council. In this role Doug is responsible for leading the environmental improvement of the Council’s activities and leads the team that is delivering the Devon Climate Emergency project. Previously Doug has been involved in waste management, behaviour change projects, community energy schemes, appraising the sustainability of Minerals and Waste Local Plans and preparing climate vulnerability risk assessments. Doug has a BSc in Geography from the University of Plymouth and an MSc in Environmental Sustainability from the University of Edinburgh.

Jennifer Sibley

Head of Climate Action and Sustainability, London Borough of Sutton Council

Jennifer Sibley is the Head of Climate Action and Sustainability at the London Borough of Sutton Council. She is responsible for the council's implementation of its climate emergency declaration, working with councillors, residents, businesses and partners to achieve this. She brings public sector experience to the Sustainability Industry Advisory Group, as well as being passionate about the benefits of work experience to employability.
