The University of Exeter, The British Army and South West Growth Service have joined forces to bring local business this important event. 

Purpose of the Event

The UK Commission’s Employer Skills Survey 2015 highlights 14% of employers reported skills gaps within their establishment, with approximately 1.4 million staff lacking proficiency in their current role. This event will highlight the different options open to you to help you recruit and retain talent.

09.30-10.00- Arrival with Teas and Coffees
10.05-10.15- Welcome from Jon Penhale, 6th Battalion, The Rifles
10.15-10.20- Context and Introduction from Chris Lorimer, Director, South West Growth Service
10.20-10.40- Andrew JacksonSalute My Job speaking on how ex-military make a difference in business.
10.45-11.05- Harry Williams, The Clickhub shares how they recruit a pipeline of talent for their Exeter & London offices. 
11.10-11.30- Robert CampStephens and Scown, talks about meeting the challenges of recruiting in the region.
11.30-12.00- Guided Tour of the Barracks: a unique opportunity to see inside Exeter's main Army base.
12.00-13.00- Networking Lunch- served in the Officers' Mess.
13.00-14.00- The Shooting Range

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation must be received in writing to Jo McCreedie - j.mccreedie@exeter.ac.uk by Friday 24th November 2017. Cancellations received after this date will result in the full cost being incurred. Failure to attend the event will also result in the full charge being levied.
